Mar 6, 2010: The Soulphonics & Ruby Velle in-store at Criminal Records Atlanta

March 5th, 2010

There will be a free, all-ages in-store with Soulphonics & Ruby Velle on Saturday, March 6 at 4:30 p.m.

From Element Records:
Soulphonics & Ruby Velle are a funk, soul, and R&B group based out of Atlanta, GA, and have been a slick addition to the local Atlanta scene since early 2008. Lead female vocalist Ruby Velle, is backed by a solid lineup, including a three piece horn section (trumpet, baritone sax, tenor sax) and rhythm section (B3 organ, electric guitar, bass and drums).

"Ruby's voice is sultry and strong, sexy yet fun, and her musical style is difficult to find in the 21st century. The eight-piece band, complete with a horns section evokes sounds of 1960s soul and funk that is undeniably danceable. By the end of their set, I was amped." - Sam Parvin, Atlanta Music Guide

"Everyone agrees that The Soulphonics and Ruby Velle pretty much blow everything out of the water." - Luis Sandoval, Team Luis, Atlanta

Social Media is here. Facebook has 300 million members. Youtube is the second largest search engine in the world. Twitter is approaching 50 million tweets a day.

Companies large and small are embracing social media to help get the word out, connect with customers, and provide another way to reach customer service. Comcast is turning its image around largely due to its Twitter account for customer support (@ComcastCares). This year Pepsi decided not to air any Super Bowl ads in favor of their Social Media campaigns. A Portland food-cart, Whiffies, does nearly all of its marketing on Twitter and is expanding to Seattle.

Are your Social Media efforts floundering? Don't know where to start? Feeling overwhelmed with all of the information? Come learn about how you can do things better, smarter, or just get started.

Join us for a night of networking and to get your social media questions answered.
